Awarded by the City of Virginia Beach, our installation aims to capitalize its location as a surf destination. We seek to capture the most sought out moment in surfing; getting BARRELED.
You’re paddling, hunting, and carefully positioning yourself to catch sight of the breaks. Soon enough your instincts start clicking as you spot a path. Now angling in you find yourself at it’s opening, moments away from entering your goal, the barrel. Gliding inside time stops *FREEZE* take it in, wallow, and layback into the green room. Again moving through the barrel you reach an end and are suddenly spat out to the horizon.
